AVAILABILITY OF PARTS:
One of our challenges is parts availability. While we strive to keep commonly needed parts in stock, there are instances when our Service Team must order directly from manufacturers. Unfortunately, this means we’re at the mercy of their delivery timelines.
SHIPPING DAMAGES:
Parts damaged during shipping are another hurdle in the race to repair your RV that we encounter. Despite our best efforts to ensure safe transit, the nature of shipping can sometimes result in damages. When this occurs, we must reorder the part, causing delays in the repair process.
INCORRECT PARTS:
The RV industry is dynamic, with manufacturers frequently changing suppliers and production processes. Changing suppliers by the manufacturer and their running production line changes suppliers or parts leads to variations of the same part used across different brands of RVs. Consequently, receiving incorrect parts from manufacturers can cause setbacks in your camper’s repairs.
PARTS BACKORDERS:
Backordered parts are a common occurrence in the industry. While our Service Team strives to source from partnered suppliers, sometimes the back order is industry-wide, requiring your patience until the part becomes available to ship to our service center.
THE OLD ADAGE:
The phrase “You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar” is an adage that means it’s easier to win people over with kindness and flattery than with hostility. Remember that the phrase implies that being nice and “sweet” with someone will result in better results than acting mean or sarcastic. Although we know customers want their RVs repaired as fast as possible, we have to work within our industry’s limits. Your Service Team is here to vent, ramble, and complain about the quality. However, we really want to get your RV fixed and back on the road to your next camping trip.
APPOINTMENT AVAILABILITY:
It’s essential to note that our service center serves Lerch RV customers and RV owners across the state and the Mid-Atlantic area. During peak times, your RV technician may be booked far in advance due to the high demand for service work. Especially during the weeks leading up to the beginning of the camping season in late April/May. The earlier you make your appointments, the quicker you can get camping!
