A Small Camper with a Real Bed

One of the biggest advantages of the Sportsmen Classic 160QB is the permanent front queen bed.

Many travel trailers in this size and weight range rely on convertible furniture for sleeping. The 160QB gives owners a dedicated bed that's ready whenever you are — no rearranging cushions at bedtime and rebuilding the dinette before breakfast.

Overhead cabinetry provides additional storage for clothing, bedding, and personal belongings while keeping the compact floorplan efficient.

Sometimes simple really is better.

Your Own Private Bathroom

For campers moving up from a tent or pop-up, the rear bathroom may be the feature that seals the deal.

Having your own private shower and toilet means you're no longer dependent on campground bathhouses. That's especially nice during rainy weekends, chilly mornings, late-night bathroom trips, or those campgrounds where the bathhouse is somehow always uphill in both directions.

For such a compact camper, having a dedicated bathroom adds a tremendous amount of convenience.

Everything You Need for Campground Meals

The kitchen keeps things simple but functional.

There's a refrigerator for drinks and groceries, a two-burner cooktop for preparing meals, a microwave for quick snacks, a sink, countertop space, and cabinetry for dishes and food.

Across from the kitchen, the booth dinette provides a dedicated spot for breakfast, morning coffee, evening card games, or planning tomorrow's adventure.

When needed, the dinette can also provide additional sleeping space for a guest.

Easy Camping Without the Slide-Out

The 160QB doesn't rely on a slide-out to make its floorplan work.

That has several advantages for campers who prioritize simplicity. There are no slide motors, mechanisms, seals, or additional moving components to maintain, and there's no need to extend anything before accessing the entire camper.

Pull into your campsite, level the trailer, connect the utilities, put out the awning, and you're basically ready for camping.

That's pretty hard to argue with.

Compact Enough for More Adventures

At under 18 feet long, the 2018 Sportsmen Classic 160QB gives campers access to campsites that can be difficult for larger travel trailers.

That can be especially valuable when exploring state parks, national forests, older campgrounds, and smaller privately owned campgrounds where site dimensions may be limited.

Its compact size also makes navigating gas stations, parking areas, and tighter campground roads less intimidating, particularly for someone buying their first travel trailer.

Lightweight Doesn't Mean "Towable by Anything"

The 160QB's approximately 2,690-lb. dry weight certainly makes it lighter than most conventional travel trailers, but towing compatibility should never be determined by dry weight alone.

The trailer's loaded weight, actual tongue weight, battery, propane, water, camping cargo, hitch equipment, passengers, and tow vehicle payload all need to be considered.

Always compare the specific RV's actual weight information with the tow vehicle manufacturer's tow rating, payload capacity, hitch rating, axle ratings, and tire ratings before towing.

Who Is the Sportsmen Classic 160QB Perfect For?

The 2018 KZ RV Sportsmen Classic 160QB is an excellent choice for couples, solo travelers, first-time RV owners, and campers looking to downsize from something larger.

It's particularly appealing for anyone who wants the convenience of a permanent queen bed, private bathroom, functional kitchen, dinette, lightweight construction, and compact overall dimensions without the added complexity of slide-outs.

For someone moving up from tent camping or a pop-up, it provides a major comfort upgrade while still keeping the camping experience simple.

A Great Pre-Owned Starter Camper

As a pre-owned travel trailer, the Sportsmen Classic 160QB offers a lot of practicality without unnecessary bells and whistles.

You get the important stuff: a real bed, your own bathroom, air conditioning, a kitchen, dining space, hard-sided protection from the weather, and a comfortable place to call home at the end of the day.

For campers who'd rather spend their budget on making memories instead of buying square footage, that's a pretty compelling combination.
